Lady Gaga is a name commonly heard around the world and an individual who virtually blew up into a superstar in what seemed like hours. I am sure we have all seen, listened to, and heard about Lady Gaga but just WHO is she and what does she stand for? It is clear to see that she is an advocate for human and gay rights. She is exactly the type of spokesperson that every minority group could only dream of. She has no filter when it comes to expressing herself and supporting her cause. Above all, she does not care what anyone thinks of her and you can always expect something crazy and out of the normal to come from her. Whether it be her music videos, outfits, hair, lyrics, or entrance to an event she always steals the show and eyes are always on her. The purpose of this blog is to dissect certain songs, events, and music videos to see the deeper meaning and understand what she is advocating for in terms of human and gay rights. There is always a great deal of controversy surrounding Gaga and whether or not her promiscuity, words, and sexually exotic outfits and actions are ok to be displayed throughout the public sector. More so concerning in America is her advocacy for homosexuality and transgender individuals. However, with an open mind I would love to see just why, myself included, other people are GAGA for GAGA! Many people, whom she calls her “little monsters” are so moved, empowered, and thankful for her speaking out for gay rights and have extremely strong emotions for her and her life’s work. I am interested in seeing just who Gaga is, where she came from, and why she feels so passionate for this amazing cause in today’s world.
